I have taught preschool through 2nd grade and loved every moment of it. I only took time off to have two babies of my own. Charlie, my daughter, is in the 4th grade at St. Paul’s; and Cooper, my son, is in Kindergarten at St. Paul’s. Aside from teaching, I enjoy chauffeuring them to and from soccer practice and various other clubs and activities.
I am Mindy Mainwaring, and I absolutely love my job! My dream of teaching began with a very special teacher I once had in elementary school (her name was Miss Peabody), and only grew from there. I attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I took 2 months off to marry my high school sweetheart, Brian, and then dove right into grad school. I graduated with a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State University in 2008.In addition to my degrees, I am also a certified soccer coach. I manage the Tiny Saints Soccer Team, and get giddy with excitement every time I get to play with those adorable little soccer super stars!
We moved to Mobile a couple years ago and fell in love with the EEC. I knew this tight-knit group of kids, parents, and teachers was just the family I needed in our “new” hometown. I love working with little people! I love exploring new things, singing silly songs, creating amazing work, and talking about Jesus and His love for us! The EEC brings all of those things and more together, and I look forward to each fun day I get to be a teacher there!
