My name is Ansley Martin and it is my joy and honor to join the 2K team at the EEC. I believe children are extraordinary and that they have an innate wonder and excitement for the world that I long to emulate.
I was a double major at Auburn University and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Psychology and Spanish hoping to one day attend graduate school to become a counselor. However, when I left Auburn and moved back to my hometown of Atlanta, Ga, God opened my eyes to the calling He had placed on my life to teach. My heart was drawn to the preschool where I had worked during several summers in college and I accepted a 2K teaching position there that Fall. I’ve been teaching and working with children in some capacity ever since. I absolutely love teaching little ones and feel so lucky to be in a career that brings that my brings out the best in me.
On August 23, 2014, I married Patrick Martin, a native Mobilian and graduate of St. Paul’s, and moved from Atlanta to Mobile. God brought me to the EEC and for the last year, I have had the unique role of “floating” between all classrooms providing aid to each teacher, and working in the After Care program. I am so excited for this next step at St. Paul’s and can’t wait to meet all of my new two year old friends. My utmost desire is to love children in a way that is similar to the unconditional love my heavenly Father bestows upon me each day.
I am looking forward to another wonderful year in Mobile with Patrick and our precious pup Nova. We love living near the beach and not too far from our beloved Auburn Tigers. We attend City Hope Church and are thankful for the special community we have in Mobile.
